Food Food Paridise !
Today is just another wet day... took my ES2 restest, its not that hard actually... all values are provide, i just need to know how to sub in the values and find the unknown.
after the test i went home to watch bleach and do some light reading(What is NS man have to fight, a really interesting book. its about a bunch of SG ppl go on holiday in indonesia island resort, then they were kidnaped by pirates. the SG men who served NS b4 fought back then bla bla bal... NS man win but also got 1 die... )
at abt dinner time i went out to have my breakfast! YES, Breakfast! morning i was late for class no time to eat, afternoon was raining so i quickly hurried home and at home i dun feel like eating instant noodle(if wanna eat i rather cook spaghetti, fried rice, carbonara or cream of chicken/mushroom) cause instant noodle is so unhealthy. but i lasy to wash up also so i wait lor! went to eat fishball noodle which was so sucky! imagine the noodle is so soft like eating mashed baby food and the soup taste like water + salt only...
after that i went to KSP practice my bowling. today bowl really got feel sia, not much strikes and still got problem with pin 10 but i manage to spare quite a bit :)i bowl a total of 6 games and average just nice 168(113 199 192 181 187 136)... LOL nice number for chinese new year!
went cold storage to buy some fresh orange juice and plan to make Tequila Sunrise. in the end bought packet ones cause really cheaper...
Reached home and i straight away cook drunken prawns to experiment again... This time is perfect! Prawns cooked but not overcooked(water cannot boil, 90 degree is quite ok already but need to cook slightly longer)
for the Tequila sunrise, i did manage to make a ok sunrise effect, althought dun look like pro made one in bars but still look like sunrise effect.
Well as seen in the picture, the grenadine(red colour syrup) already rise to abt half the glass when i pour in... i saw pros pour in the grenadine but it only takes up 1/4 of the glass and slowly rise up... dunno is the difference in density of orange juice or is it the method of pouring grenadine... oh by the way, the name sunrise came from the rising of grenadine which really look like sunrise effect. Very refreshing, good for hot days, thus really wrong time to make... Rain non stop here...
Must really thanks my mum and sis for being my guinea pigs... my mum view on the drink: a little too bitter, should either add more orange juice or lesser grenadine. my sis view: cannot really taste the tequila, so either add more tequilla or lesser orange juice. well need more ppl to help me taste so i can decide how to modify the drink... i currently use 50 ml tequila, 15 ml grenadine and dunno how much orange juice(about 220-240 ml). basically its a really simple drink but the presentation is the hard part. just fill highball glass full with ice, pour in tequila then top with orange juice. lastly add in greandine which is the hardiest part.
any 1 want to apply to become my guinea pig are welcome, but i not 100% will accept :D
Lastly i wanted to say is that drunken prawns dun go well with tequila sunrise as drunken prawns have very mild taste and tequila sunrise have kinda strong after taste.
